An opening partnership of 221 from Lansdown's U15's Henry Breary and Oliver Parry laid the foundations for an unassailable target for Chilcompton Sports 2nd XI to chase.
Five dropped catches early on could have made things easier for the Chilcompton bowlers, with a tidy spell from Simon Wilkinson and a wicket each for John Burgess and Adam Deverill the only contributions of note.
Despite not being able to deal with the aerial ball the fielding troop of Andrew Goodsir, Mark Sylvester and Simon Wilkinson, backed up by a boundary master class from Richard Gillard, stifled what could have been a huge target on a small ground.
A quick-fire 51 from the returning Goodsir and a useful contribution of 18 from tail-ender Sean White allowed Chilcompton to stumble to 145 from their ten-man squad leaving Ian Gillard stranded on six not out with seven overs remaining.
