Upon winning the toss, we promptly elected to bat on what perhaps turned out to be a slightly trickier surface than its appearance suggested.
Against a fired-up seam attack James Palmer and Jordan Smith got us off to a promising start but both soon became one of several Lansdown batters to get a start without kicking on.
With no one in the top order managing to get a meaningful score a partnership of 58 between Tim Wyatt and Brandon Allen (both scoring 31) salvaged the Lansdown innings which recovered from 81-6 to 153 all out.
The home team's chase took a similar course, with the top 4 all getting starts but failing to pass 30. With all 5 bowlers used contributing wickets, we reduced Clevedon to 103-6 and looked favourites, however, an excellent 38 not out from Clevedon’s Dan Williams saw the home team to victory by 2 wickets.
