Lansdown started well by taking two early wickets but a partnership began to develop for the home side. However, the defiance was short-lived and Taunton Deane were bowled out for 127 in 40.1 overs. Sam Wheller and Brad Evans took 3 wickets a piece and were sufficiently supported by some sharp fielding by their team-mates. Namely, Oskar Kolk and Dan Jarman who both executed important run-outs.
In response, Lansdown CC started well but lost a flurry of wickets due to some good bowling from Taunton Deane. However, the home side’s progress was slowed by a steady and match-winning partnership between Dan Jarman and George Scott who ended 25* and 40* respectively.
A good day for Lansdown CC who claimed 19 points and go into next week maintaining 4th position and with momentum.
