Unable to chase down a gettable target

Lansdown were unable to chase down a gettable target at home to Taunton Deane.

The visitors made an excellent start as openers Sam Underdown (39) and Jack Fraser (37) tallied an 81-run opening partnership.

There were also half-decent knocks from Harry Thomas (30) and Russell Jones (27) as Taunton were dismissed for 217, including three late run-outs.

Joe Jenkins struck a patient 61 in Lansdown's reply, but a disappointing middle-order display had them in trouble at 85-6.

Jackson Hamilton (25) and matt Thomas (20) showed some life at the tail as Lansdown fell 41-runs short.
