Walking Cricket is a new game and, until recently, has been played indoors. Players of all ages, abilities, male or female and fitness levels are loving this game. Rules differ to the classic game to enable all players to have a turn at the various positions on the field and to fit in with a shorter time frame No experience is necessary and the emphasis is on having fun.
Anyone who is interested in learning more about setting up a walking cricket team are welcome to come along.
A few Walking Cricketers' experiences:
"As someone who has been involved in the walking cricket initiative at Lansdown from the start it is an absolute delight to experience the life enhancing benefits that it can bring. Improved fitness , learning and remembering skills, meeting and making new friends both on the field and in the clubhouse with a drink in hand. Well done to all who have embraced it."
