Edited by the award-winning cricket writer Stephen Chalke alongside Lansdown elders and historians David Dolman, David Taylor and John Dixon, the book unearths many fascinating, heroic and historic stories through the last 195 years. Of course, there is a focus on the last fifty years, where Donald Bradman left off and there are unheard stories and unseen images of Boycott, Richards, Botham and Horne all gracing Combe Park in recent years.
As some of the photographs that adorn the walls of our clubhouse testify, Lansdown Cricket Club has a rich and unique history of which we should all be very proud. Those pictures are only snapshots though and the upcoming book will tell the stories behind those great teams and great days at Combe Park.
