On the 15th May, and following the Government’s easing of social space usage rules, safe and responsible use of sports club facilities has been permitted. Great news!

We now need to ensure that the health and safety of our members is a priority and we need you to help ensure that is the case.

We now have following procedures in place:

We have two net lanes at Combe Park, however to ensure safe distancing, only one lane is permitted to be used at any one time, so one lane will be closed until further notice. We have created an open grass lane to offer a second practice area.
You can use the net and open lane alone, with members of your household or individuals can use the facilities with one other person from outside of your household as long as you are staying a minimum of two metres apart, in line with government guidance.

To use the net or the new open grass lane (without charge), pre-booking is now required. Please call the clubhouse on 01225 425 439.

The club is generally staffed between 10am – 3pm, Tuesday to Saturday. At the moment we hope you’ll understand that we cannot guarantee clubhouse availability and cannot take bookings in any other way. These facilities will only be open when we can guarantee the presence of a club employee or official at the clubhouse.

Please ensure you follow the Government and ECB safety guidance:

If you or anyone else in your household is displaying symptoms of COVID-19, or if you are classed as extremely venerable on health grounds, you must stay at home and follow Government advice
Adhere to the 50-minute slot you have booked, for the safety of others please leave the nets in plenty of time for the following users
Ensure proper hand sanitation has been applied, before and after use of the nets
No sweat or saliva should come in contact with the ball at any time.
Anti-bacterial spray and disposable towels will be provided for users to wash stumps before and after use. It is your responsibility to do this.
You must adhere to all other Government health and safety guidance regarding social distancing and meeting with others outside of your household.

We reserve the right to refuse use of facilities and to turn away anyone who has not booked in advance or that we consider are not abiding by the Government, ECB and club guidelines.

Whilst the clubhouse itself is currently undergoing refurbishment and we have volunteers working inside and out, the clubhouse itself is closed to visitors and members. As such we will not be able to allow use of the club’s toilet facilities.

Our lunchtime takeaway meals are still available for pre-order and collection.
